kimonos often use delicate materials, so we recommend dry cleaning. Please avoid washing at home and use a professional cleaning service.
4. Precautions for Rainy Days
Are there any precautions for wearing a kimono on rainy days?
Yes, silk kimonos can stain or discolor if they get wet, so please take care on rainy days. If rain is expected, it’s advisable to wear a raincoat over the kimono or avoid carrying the kimono altogether. If your kimono does get wet, gently blot it with a dry towel to absorb the moisture, and allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
